The Solstice Sisters
Thinking of the year as a circle, we have the two equinoxes and the two solstices, spaced equally apart, every quarter. Between them are the cross-quarter holidays: imbolc, beltane, lammas and samhain. The Solstice Sisters have been celebrating these eight sabbats since 2001. New members are accepted and introduced in January of each year.
The group is a constant source of inspiration and support. The women take turns creating ceremony. And ceremony helps us to find our place in the world. These gatherings often utilize rituals and inspirations from any number of traditions.
As women share and express themselves in the safety of the circle, they become empowered. When we witness each others lives, growth and passions, we begin to create supportive community together.
Women’s circles are easy to form. Invite some friends, put a notice on a bulletin board or enlist the members of your quilting or dance group. If you live in San Luis Obispo County and are interested in joining The Solstice Sisters, please leave me a message on my contact page. For more information, click HERE.
